This is a minor release as it adds the non-blocking interface and the related methods that can now be used instead of synchronous callbacks. This all keeps the existing methods so it remains backwards compatible.

How did you find the error and why was it not caught by CI? no CI for kotlin? |

CI did fail here. I think this may have gotten through as #1733 might not have been rebased properly following the update to the expanded kotlin tests. So it showed green but only because most kotlin tests at that point were no-ops or incomplete It's likely master CI failed post merge I jus didn't catch it |

This bumps
payjointo 1.2.0. This is a minor release instead of a patch because of the addition of the new API methods made available in the non-blocking interface.The first commit fixes a Kotlin test failure following the #1733
