What

Since 2.7.0, one actions find sends --ai-model and --task to One, which records them with each find. Prod data since then shows agents rarely pass either: a CLI find from Cursor came in with neither, and no find on any surface has had a model yet. Both flags read as "optional", and agents skip what is optional.

  • Help text, SKILL.md, the guide and the README now ask for both on every find. --task keeps its privacy guidance (general terms, no names, addresses, IDs or message text) and says it helps tell similar actions apart; --ai-model asks for the agent's model name and says to leave it out only if it does not know which model it is.
  • The example find command in SKILL.md and the guide now shows --ai-model "<your model>" beside --task, since agents copy the example.
  • Both flags stay optional to the parser, so nothing an agent sends today is refused.
  • v2.7.1, version fields by hand.

Same wording as the remote MCP (withoneai/pica-v2#1013) and the local MCP (withoneai/mcp#27).

Tests

  • tsc --noEmit clean; npm test 665/671, the six failures being the resolveConfig ones that fail on main too (macOS /private/var temp path).
