Description

Removes the workflows that nothing uses any more, now that all four markets (be, nl, lu, uk) run their liquid tests through run_tests_inline_auth.yml.

Removed:

  • run_tests.yml: the old liquid-test workflow with a separate login-refresh job. No market calls it any more.
  • check_auth.yml: the old login refresher. Its last callers (the refresh_token.yml files in be and lu) were deleted during the rollout.
  • update_templates_production.yml: only ran on this repo's own PRs, called the old run_tests.yml, and failed on every run. It's the red run-tests / check-auth check on bso PRs.
  • update_templates_review.yml, add_shared_parts_review.yml, add_shared_parts_production.yml: dormant, label-triggered, only ran on this repo's own PRs, and predate the current login handling (they read CONFIG_JSON without renewing it). push_to_review_firm.yml is the maintained successor of update_templates_review.yml. For a new deployment pipeline, start from push_to_review_firm.yml; this PR's diff keeps the old files' content easy to find.

Checked before removing: every workflow file in be/nl/lu/uk, plus an org-wide code search for bso_github_actions/.github/workflows. Only the four market repos reference this repo, and none of them uses any of these six files.

Also:

  • README: the old sections are removed, and run_tests_inline_auth.yml is described on its own. It will be renamed run_tests.yml later, which needs each market's caller updated.

  • Comments that pointed at the removed files are updated (refresh action, check_dependencies, check_tests).

  • writing-bso-workflows skill: drops examples that pointed at the removed files and be_market's old fork, corrects two claims that turned out wrong in lu_market testing (a re-run reads the current secret; a dispatched retry never clears a PR's red check), and adds checklist 18 on job-level permissions in reusable workflows (the fix: drop the re-run helper's pull-requests permission (callers fail at startup) #66 startup failure).

  • run_sampler.yml: comments no longer mention check_auth.yml or its cron (code unchanged). README: the sampler's REPO_ACCESS_TOKEN needs Actions: Read and write too, because its automatic retry starts a new run.

Left for the sampler step: run_sampler.yml says its CLI pin matches be_market's copy, but be/nl/lu install the sampler-compact-diff-v2 branch while this file pins ec85206.

Type of change

  • Bug fix
  • New feature
  • Breaking change

Checklist

  • README updated (if needed)
  • Version updated (if needed)
  • Documentation updated (if needed)

Test plan

  • Caller census across be/nl/lu/uk plus an org-wide code search: no references to the removed files
  • actionlint: no new findings

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

…tes_production.yml

All four markets now call run_tests_inline_auth.yml, so nothing calls the old
run_tests.yml or check_auth.yml any more (checked every workflow in
be/nl/lu/uk, plus an org-wide code search). update_templates_production.yml
only ran on this repo's own PRs, called the old run_tests.yml and failed on
every run.

README: drop the two old sections, describe run_tests_inline_auth.yml on its
own. Comments that pointed at the removed files are updated.

update_templates_review.yml and add_shared_parts_*.yml stay for now: a
colleague may reuse ideas from them for a deployment pipeline.

README.md:148-152
🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win

Use the surviving workflow in the repair example.

The README invokes repair_firm_auth.yml with the deleted run_tests.yml. repair_firm_auth.yml treats an unresolved workflow name as fatal before writing CONFIG_JSON. Replace it with run_tests_inline_auth.yml.

Update the matching stale example in repair_firm_auth.yml and the workflow-writing skill in the same change. They are documentation references to the same deleted workflow, not separate runtime defects.

Note on the outside-diff finding about writer_workflows: run_tests.yml (README, repair_firm_auth.yml, the skill): not applying. writer_workflows names workflow files in the calling market repo, and every market's caller is .github/workflows/run_tests.yml. run_tests_inline_auth.yml only exists in this repo, so using that name would make the repair's writer check fail on every run. The README link and the run_sampler.yml comparison from the second review are fixed in b7396bf.
