Adds a reusable repair_firm_auth.yml, ported from be_market's own copy, so every market can repair a firm's dead CONFIG_JSON token pair in CI instead of on a laptop.

What changed versus be_market's copy

  • workflow_call with inputs firm_id, auth_code and writer_workflows: be_market hardcoded its writer list (run_tests.yml refresh_token.yml push_to_review_firm.yml repair_firm_auth.yml), which doesn't fit nl/lu.
  • The caller's own file is added to the writer list automatically, derived from github.workflow_ref. A caller can't forget to watch itself, which would let two repair runs pass each other.
  • Each writer entry is shape-checked as a plain *.yml filename before it reaches gh run list; a name starting with - would otherwise be read as a flag. Split with set -f, so an entry like *.yml isn't globbed.

A non-numeric firm_id is refused before the auth code is spent: defaultFirmIDs and partnerCredentials are objects in CONFIG_JSON too, so the presence check alone let them through.

Everything else (re-run refusal, writer check, mask handling, token exchange, type-checked response, retrying write-back) is be_market's file unchanged.

Callers

Thin callers are already on the open market PRs: be_market#3245 (replaces the 300-line copy), nl_market#933, lu_market#852. Each needs this merged first, since they call @main.

README entry added under Authentication.

Walkthrough

The pull request adds a reusable workflow to repair one firm’s Silverfin access and refresh tokens. It validates inputs and writer workflow runs, exchanges an authorization code, updates the selected firm in CONFIG_JSON, and documents the workflow in the README.

Changes

Firm authentication repair

Layer / File(s) Summary
Workflow contract and run guards
.github/workflows/repair_firm_auth.yml
The workflow defines required inputs and secrets. It sets permissions, masks the authorization code, and blocks writes when a listed writer run is active, has an unknown completion time, or completed at or after this run was queued.
Configuration checks and token exchange
.github/workflows/repair_firm_auth.yml
The workflow checks the selected firm and OAuth credentials, sends the authorization-code request, and rejects network failures, non-200 responses, or responses without both tokens.
Token update, secret write, and documentation
.github/workflows/repair_firm_auth.yml, README.md
The workflow updates only the selected firm’s access and refresh tokens. It retries specified transient secret-write failures up to five times. The README documents the inputs, refusal conditions, required secrets, and an example caller.

A concurrent auth writer can have its CONFIG_JSON update silently overwritten by the repair’s stale snapshot. Serialize these writes or add compare-and-write protection before merging.

CONFIG_JSON's defaultFirmIDs and partnerCredentials are objects too, so the
existing presence check let either through and wrote firm tokens into them.

Coordinate CONFIG_JSON writers before they capture the secret.

The run-list check happens once, before the OAuth exchange. If a listed writer starts after the check and captures the existing secret before either workflow writes, both workflows can later write full CONFIG_JSON snapshots. The later write can silently discard the earlier update. run_tests.yml is a reachable example: it runs on pushes and pull requests, calls check_auth.yml, and that workflow refreshes CONFIG_JSON and writes the full file back. Its refresh-tokens concurrency group does not include this repair workflow. Coordinate writers at the secret-snapshot boundary or use a versioned store with compare-and-write semantics; another run-list check cannot close this race.
