Linear: SCR-308 / SCR-309 (epic SCR-303). Server: scrape-badger/scrapebadger#2485 (live in prod since 2026-10-14 12:18 UTC).

  • New section, "Per-host overrides and automatic unblocking":
    • On override hosts, the access settings are enforced while output settings stay the caller's. Billing follows the configuration actually used, and X-Proxy-Tier-Effective shows the tier.
    • On other hosts, repeated blocks start a background search. The state is reported in X-Unblock and the body field unblock: discovering, cooldown or none.
    • An override that stops working is searched for again, and replaced only if the new configuration does measurably better.
  • max_cost tip, corrected: the check uses the engine price plus anything an override adds. It never included the tier you choose yourself, despite what the old wording said.
  • 422 docs: the 422 row and example now include unblock.
