Add the R-universe version badge and development installation instructions using balancing's README style. Retain CRAN instructions and use pak for the GitHub source alternative. Set the GFM default image extension to empty so Quarto preserves the extensionless badge URL.
Rendered README.qmd successfully and checked the generated badge and installation section. Verified quartets is listed in the r-causal R-universe source index; git diff --check passes. Unrelated example output and figures are unchanged.
