- Cargo workspace and plugin versions 0.4.0 -> 0.5.0 (Cargo.lock and
finetune/candgen/Cargo.lock follow).
- CHANGELOG: the Unreleased entries become [0.5.0] - 2026-10-12.
- laya-code-r2 is the default re-ranker, pinned to Hugging Face
revision 831fa83.
- Exact Metal speed-ups: hook about 130 ms instead of 517 ms.
- Metal works on macOS before 15, and the build works on Rust 1.99.
- Capture stage timers.
- The benchmark's measurement fixes.
- The benchmark v15 summary.
No breaking changes: an r1 install keeps working until it is upgraded.
- README roadmap: v0.5.0 is current.
