Edmon Abdul Nur

IT Support Specialist · Systems operator · Technical communicator

I keep people productive, systems dependable, and difficult technical problems understandable.

About me

I’m an IT Support Specialist. I solve messy technical problems, explain them clearly, and build things when the right tool doesn’t exist.

My background crosses IT, cybersecurity, technical writing, journalism, sales, and customer support. That mix helps me see the system, the person using it, and the business around both.

Builder's lab

GitHub is my workshop outside the day job. I explore native software, hardware integration, home automation, AI-assisted workflows, and unusual input systems. These repositories are experiments and workbenches—not the whole of my professional identity.

Project What I’m exploring
Touch-Up macOS touchscreen, HID, and Sidecar input paths.
codex-hass-5.6 Modern Codex workflows inside Home Assistant.
BBKB Community Community documentation and knowledge for mobile-keyboard hardware.
Panda Breath HA Original Home Assistant integration work, preserved as a reference.
Omi A clearly identified wearable-AI fork and integration workbench.

How I work

  • Understand the symptom. Reproduce the real problem and separate evidence from assumptions.
  • Communicate the impact. Keep users and colleagues informed in language they can act on.
  • Fix the system, not only the moment. Add documentation, tests, automation, or guardrails when a failure can recur.
  • Change the approach after failure. An unchanged retry is not a strategy.
  • Stay resourceful. Aim for reliable outcomes with practical use of time, tools, and budget.
