In the context of #2709 (on "lengths and angles" mode for Single_crystal) it was found that Texture_process in principle requires a similar overhaul:

Not changed: mcstas-comps/union/Texture_process.comp. The old block is
commented out there. The active branch ("miguel") uses as for both a and b,
which is valid only for a = b cells. That may deserve a separate look.
This issue is placed here to not forget this little piece of technical debt.
