Flour Power Bakes is a home bakery in Carluke, Scotland, specialising in handmade celebration, wedding and baby shower cakes with a bold, retro-inspired style — everything from tiered wedding cakes to pop-culture showstoppers (Peter Rabbit, Pokémon, Abbey Road and more).

Alongside made-to-order cakes, Flour Power runs the Honesty Cake Shed: a self-serve stand outside their door at 50 Wilton Road, restocked with fresh bakes every Friday and Saturday from 10am until sold out. No shop visit needed — pick what you fancy and pay by cash in the honesty box.

About this repo

This repo contains the single-page marketing website for Flour Power Bakes. It's a static site (no build step, no framework) styled around the business's 70s-retro branding — sunburst motifs, groovy typography, and the pink/purple/cream palette from the logo.

Updating the weekly specials

The "This Week's Specials" chalkboard in index.html (search for id="menu") is a plain list — edit the <li> lines directly, one item per line, then commit and push. No build step needed.

Running locally

No build tools required — just serve the folder statically, e.g.:

python -m http.server 8080

then open http://localhost:8080.

Deployment

The site is deployed via GitHub Pages from the main branch root.
