vrchis a repack utility that uses*.patchfiles to modify PKGBUILDs and builds them in clean chroots, mostly aims to test pkg-splitting (*-docs,*-gtk,*-qt,*-...).
This makes testing patches faster and provides reference implementations.
It generates
.SRCINFOfiles automatically and using format:.RPKGINFOto track upstream commits and patches revisions. This is part of a larger effort in general packaging topic.
Example openjpeg2 2.5.4 :
| Download | Installed | |
|---|---|---|
Official (extra) |
895.61 KiB | 13.37 MiB |
| Vrch | 273.11 KiB | 722.71 KiB |
| Delta | -69.5 % | -94.7 % |
Vrch -docs (optional) |
605.18 KiB | 12.89 MiB |
This is notably pulled in by almost everything a desktop user would use.
