Product commands, per-product sign-in and keychain storage - #2
Conversation
Commands now start with the product (cms, connect, scan) from one registry, with FULLDEV_<PRODUCT>_URL or --url for deploy previews. Login, logout and status work per product; login uses a pre-registered public Clerk client with PKCE and a loopback redirect, or the device grant with --device, and asks for the product's MCP URL as the resource. Logout revokes the tokens. Tokens live in the OS keychain with a private file as fallback, behind a lock file, and the 0.1.0 credentials file is removed once. Without a terminal, product commands fail with exit code 3 instead of signing in. Every error is one JSON object on stderr, usage errors exit 64, help works per command, and form wait aborts a running request at its deadline. A new sign-in revokes the one it replaces, the move from 0.1.0 revokes the old tokens with their own client, and status asks for a sign-in only when no product can be used. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Clerk's device flow ignores the resource, also on refresh, so its tokens have no audience and every Fulldev MCP server refuses them; accepting them would weaken all three servers. Clerk's access tokens are JWTs that cannot be revoked and expire within a day. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
📝 WalkthroughWalkthroughThe CLI now supports product-scoped commands for CMS, Connect, and Scan, with product-specific server URLs and help. Credential storage uses the OS keychain with a protected file fallback, and OAuth sign-in, refresh, and revocation operate on per-server credentials. The CLI execution layer handles product commands and structured errors. Form waiting now aborts outstanding tool calls when its deadline expires. Documentation and tests cover the updated commands, authentication, storage, and timeout behavior. Priority: ⬇️ Low Estimated code review effort: 4 (Complex) | ~60 minutes Change: Feature Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to The change is mergeable with small follow-ups. If the keychain fails during sign-in or logout, old tokens can remain on the machine. A few help and skill texts also describe behavior that differs from the code: a sign-in code that no longer exists, revocation of the access token, and the status exit code. 🚥 Pre-merge checks | ✅ 4 | ❌ 1❌ Failed checks (1 warning)

authorization link from stderr, without referring to a sign-in code; keep the
existing five-minute wait guidance.
Review comments at @src/args.ts:
- Around line 66-68: Update the logout help details in src/args.ts (lines 66-68)
to state that only the refresh token is revoked and the access token expires
within a day. In src/oauth.ts (lines 500-502), remove the claim that
revokeTokens revokes the access token; leave the comment accurate to the
refresh-token-only behavior.
- Around line 74-77: Update the status command’s details text in the `details`
field to say exit code 3 is returned when none of the listed products has a
working sign-in; keep the existing explanation for exit code 1.
Review comments at @src/credentials.ts:
- Around line 207-234: Update Credentials.write to best-effort delete the
existing keychain entry after keychain.set fails and before falling back to the
file. In Credentials.delete, propagate keychain deletion failures so logout
cannot report success while credentials remain; preserve deletion of the file
entry and handle a missing keychain entry only if the keychain API rejects for
that case.

Records carry when they were written, so after a fallback to the file the newer record is read; a fallback also tries to remove the old entry. A sign-out that leaves tokens in the keychain fails instead of reporting success. Help and skill no longer mention a sign-in code or access token revocation, and status help matches its exit code. The CLI now covers every Fulldev product with an MCP server, and follows Clerk's CLI guide.
fulldev cms|connect|scan <tools|call|instructions>, andfulldev cms form wait. Breaking: the old flat commands are gone, with no aliases. Products come from one registry insrc/products.ts.logoutrevokes the refresh token, and signing in again revokes the previous sign-in.--help.Tested on the MacBook against production: sign-in to all three products, real calls (cms 36 tools, connect 7, scan 12), the move from 0.1.0, logout revocation, and exit codes.
