Xcode 26.0 and macOS Tahoe 26.0 #199

Description

@rswilem

Does the DeviceSupport/ solution still work on the new Xcode 26.0 and macOS Tahoe 26.0?

I'm currently experiencing issues specifically with the iOS 12.4 support files for my iPad running iOS 12.5.7 after upgrading to the new macOS.
I must say the support files ran perfectly on Xcode 18.6 on the previous macOS, but even downgrading Xcode to 18.6 now has no effect.

The DeviceSupport files seem to be recognized perfectly in both scenarios, debug symbols are downloaded and installed, but running the app on the device instantly shuts the app down.

If this is unrelated to the support files, feel free to close this issue.

    I incorrectly stated 18.6 as the Xcode version, I ment 16.4. I tried downgrading to Xcode 16.4, 16.3, 15.4 and 12.5.1.

Only Xcode 16+ runs on MacOS 26, other versions instantly get a sigkill. With Xcode 16 however, the problem persists. I have installed the proper DeviceSupport files - It runs the app but then crashes with the same error as stated above:

    Domain: IDEDebugSessionErrorDomain
    Code: 3
Failure Reason: Cannot launch ... Unspecified

I am having iPhone 6 plus with iOS 12.5.7.
I can't find exact devicesupport version in github.
I tried to install device support for iOS 12.0 and 12.2 and 12.4

    but getting the same issue

    Could not launch “myapp”
    Domain: IDEDebugSessionErrorDomain ..."

I cannot downgrade the xcode versions

    any solutions available ?

12.4.zip used to be fine. You can still build and run the app fine if you run macOS 15 Sequoia with Xcode 16.4. On macOS Tahoe 26+ it starts to break.

It runs normally. I'm using iOS 14.4.2 and I downloaded 14.4.zip and encountered the same problem as you, but it worked fine after I renamed the directory of 14.4 to 14.4.2.

Thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately renaming 12.4 to 12.5.7, the OS target, did not work for me.
