@ecency/sdk: favorite tags query options and mutations - #1714
Conversation
Followed hashtags, mirroring the favorites set in the accounts module:
getFavoriteTagsQueryOptions (plus the wrapped infinite variant),
getFavoriteTagCheckQueryOptions, useFavoriteTagAdd and useFavoriteTagDelete
with the same optimistic removal favorites has, and the query keys.
normalizeTag is the one place a tag is normalised before it is sent or used
as a cache key (trim, lowercase, one leading '#' dropped, ^[a-z0-9-]{1,32}$,
community names rejected), so the check query for "#Photography" and
"photography" share one entry and one request.

Avoid restoring an obsolete cache snapshot
When two tag deletions overlap, this rollback can overwrite the result of the successful mutation: for example, deleting A snapshots [A, B], deleting B succeeds, and then A fails and restores [A, B], reintroducing B into the list even though the server deleted it. The infinite-query snapshots have the same problem, and the error path performs no subsequent invalidation, so the stale entries can remain visible; roll back only the failed tag's change or invalidate/refetch these caches after an error.

Fixed in 3cc1ff7, which landed while this review ran against the first commit. onError still restores the snapshots for the instant revert, then invalidates the list, infinite and check keys, so a snapshot that carries another in-flight delete is transient and refetched. use-favorite-tag-delete.spec.ts drives exactly this sequence (delete A, delete B, B succeeds, A fails) and asserts every list key is flagged for refetch.
Two holes in the optimistic delete, both inherited from the favorites hook: a check entry that had no cached value kept the optimistic false after a failed delete, and a snapshot taken while another delete was in flight brought that other tag back on rollback. Now a failed delete restores the snapshots for an instant revert, drops the check entry when nothing was cached before, and invalidates every touched key so the cache refetches. The options object is exported as favoriteTagDeleteMutationOptions so the cache behaviour is tested against a real QueryClient without a render.

Current handling can expose the code through an unsafe API destination or redirect, and failed or overlapping deletes can leave stale favorite-tag state, so the PR is not merge-ready until these issues are fixed or explicitly accepted. In `@packages/sdk/src/modules/accounts/mutations/favorite-tags/requests.ts`:
- Line 22: Validate the effective private API host before the fetch in the
request flow: require non-empty hosts to parse as HTTPS URLs, while preserving
an empty host only when the same-origin request is HTTPS. Update the host
handling associated with setPrivateApiHost and INTERNAL_API_HOST so insecure or
invalid values cannot construct clear-text requests.
- Line 22: Update the fetchApi call in the credential-bearing request to set
redirect handling to "error", preventing 307/308 redirects from forwarding the
POST body containing code.
In
`@packages/sdk/src/modules/accounts/mutations/favorite-tags/use-favorite-tag-add.ts`:
- Line 13: Define the favorite-tag add mutation key in QueryKeys following the
existing accounts/favorite-tags hierarchy, then replace the hardcoded
mutationKey array in use-favorite-tag-add with that QueryKeys entry while
preserving the username parameter.
In
`@packages/sdk/src/modules/accounts/mutations/favorite-tags/use-favorite-tag-delete.ts`:
- Line 15: Add the accounts.favoriteTagsDelete builder to QueryKeys, then
replace the literal mutationKey in useFavoriteTagDelete with that builder,
passing username as its argument. Keep the existing key structure unchanged.
- Line 43: Update the optimistic update and rollback logic in the favorite-tag
deletion flow to record whether checkKey had cached data before setQueryData. In
onError, remove the checkKey cache entry when it was previously absent;
otherwise restore context.previousCheck, preserving existing rollback behavior.
- Around line 74-80: Move favorite-tag cache invalidation from the
successful-delete handler to the onSettled handler so every delete, including
failures settling after overlapping mutations, refreshes the affected caches.
Preserve the existing rollback behavior in onError and add coverage for
out-of-order overlapping deletes where an older snapshot could otherwise
reinsert a successfully removed tag.
