Adding @gewarren as well. @guardrex This is a worthy project, and the right time to work on it. I haven't given this is thorough detailed review yet, as our org is working through what's coming next this week. In the meantime, my main suggestion is to use this task to migrate to using docfx.json's folder mapping to simplify the metadata. See https://github.com/dotnet/docs/blob/main/docfx.json#L400 for an example of how we do this in the .NET docs repo. This structure makes it much easier to see who's responsible for what, and make changes as roles change. Also, any metadata in the article overrides the folder setting at build time, so we can support individual articles by other authors. Can you start by updating this PR to make reasonable folder defaults in docfx.json, and remove the article specific tags that are redundant with the default? That will make it much easier to review. |

That makes sense! When Wade, Tom, and I had the articles split, it was mostly by folder along the lines of major subject areas. We could've adopted the I'll update this now, and then we can take another look. I'll ping you back. |
