I use data as creative material: trade becomes motion, temperature becomes a field of particles, and the solar system becomes a place to wander. The live collection is at datapoems.io.

Read each dataset's provenance, license, and limitations before reusing it. A visualization is an interpretation of its source, and a striking pattern still needs a careful explanation.
I favor full-screen scenes, restrained controls, and typography that leaves room for the data. Interaction should reveal something: a relationship, an outlier, a different sense of scale. Beauty earns its place when it helps someone stay curious.
