Summary

  • Adds CLAUDE.md: commands, the one-binary/one-command-per-step design, the pure-core vs IO-shell split, the lifecycle table's two invariants, the self-repair loop and its guard, and the repo's conventions.
  • Corrects every ADR citation in src/shared/ — they were numbered from before docs/adr/ was carried over, so each pointed at a file that does not exist: 0008 → 0005, 0007 → 0004, 0003 → 0002.
  • Drops the two 0007 citations on the reply-not-resolve dedup marker. That number was doing double duty for two unrelated decisions, and no ADR argues this one; the surrounding comments already carry the reasoning.

Test plan

  • npm run typecheck
  • npm test — 92 passed
  • Every remaining docs/adr/NNNN reference in src/ resolves to a file in docs/adr/
  • Optional follow-up: write the missing ADR for reply-not-resolve and restore those two references

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

The source comments cited ADR numbers from before the documents were
carried over, so every reference pointed at a file that does not exist:
0008 for the self-repair loop and guard (0005), 0007 for the two-hop
chain (0004), 0003 for the chaining label writes (0002).

`0007` was also doing double duty for the reply-not-resolve dedup
marker, which no ADR argues. Those two citations are dropped rather than
pointed somewhere wrong — the surrounding comments already carry the
reasoning, and the decision can get its own ADR later.
