UIFont.appTextCaption was .default(size: 12, weight: .bold) while Font.appTextCaption is .default(size: 12, weight: .medium). The same token drew Avenir Next Demi in UIKit and Medium in SwiftUI. FontBook maps .medium to AvenirNextLTPro-Medium in the UIKit path, so changing the weight to .medium aligns the two.

UIKit call sites that get lighter:

  • FlipcashUI/Sources/FlipcashUI/Chat/ChatSystemMessageCell.swift:24 (UIFont.appTextCaption, used for text size and baseline offset)
  • FlipcashUI/Sources/FlipcashUI/Chat/ChatUnreadDividerCell.swift:23 (label.font)

All other .appTextCaption uses are SwiftUI Font and are unchanged.

UIFont.appTextCaption was .bold while Font.appTextCaption is .medium, so the same token drew Demi in UIKit cells and Medium in SwiftUI. FontBook maps .medium to AvenirNextLTPro-Medium on both sides.
