Branch: jaabell:feat/explicit-bathe-lnvd → OpenSees/OpenSeesDocumentation:master
Code PR: OpenSees/OpenSees#1832

Updates the ExplicitBathe page for the code PR above:

  • Syntax integrator ExplicitBathe $p <$computeCriticalDt> <-lnvd $alpha>: options in any order after p, and
    any integer > 0 enables the critical-time-step report.
  • New -lnvd option: Cundall local non-viscous damping for pseudo-static analyses, applied to the solved
    sub-step accelerations (equivalent to F_d = −α|F| sign(v) for a lumped mass), with its limitations and a
    see-also to ExplicitDifferenceStatic.
  • Corrections to the existing page:
    • the command is Tcl-only, so the Python example is removed;
    • fixes the |int| substitution, the csv-table width error and the unreferenced [Noh2013] citation (the
      existing page produced one error and one warning in Sphinx).
  • Two downloadable, verified examples in analysis/codeExample/:
    • example_bathe_lnvd_sdof_decay.tcl: decay ratio within 0.04 % of exp(−2α) for α = 0.1;
    • example_bathe_lnvd_pseudostatic.tcl: converges to the exact static solution.

Builds with Sphinx with no warnings from the changed files.

…ability

- Document `integrator ExplicitBathe $p <$computeCriticalDt> <-lnvd $alpha>`:
  options in any order after p, any integer > 0 enables the critical time
  step report, invalid -lnvd values or unknown options are warned and
  ignored.
- -lnvd: Cundall local non-viscous damping on the solved sub-step
  accelerations (equivalent to F_d = -alpha |F| sign(v) for a lumped
  mass), for pseudo-static analyses; works with parallel diagonal systems;
  lumped-mass limitation; see also ExplicitDifferenceStatic.
- The command is Tcl-only: remove the Python example. Fix the |int|
  substitution, the csv-table width error and the unreferenced [Noh2013]
  citation.
- Two verified, downloadable examples: SDOF amplitude decay vs alpha and a
  pseudo-static chain converging to the exact static solution.
