- Line 398: Update the testing guidance in the final blog to remove the
recommendation to mock Git and database dependencies; instead, direct readers to
use integration-style tests following the repository’s @application/tests/
patterns, without mocks unless explicitly requested.
- Line 8: Update the prerequisite sentence in the final blog to make “Week 1-6:
Building the Foundation” a relative Markdown link to the corresponding
mid-evaluation article, preserving the surrounding wording.
- Line 68: Update IncrementalPipeline.process() so last_processed_commit is
persisted only after write_harvest_input() successfully commits the harvested
records, or ensure failed handoffs remain retryable before advancing the
checkpoint. Preserve the checkpoint when the handoff fails so the next run can
process the unpersisted source changes.
- Line 444: Update the test-count and nightly-harvester statements in the blog
to link to the supporting CI result and scheduler, or clearly label them as
author-reported where sources are unavailable. Locate the statements by “Current
test status” and the harvester schedule references.
Review comments at @docs/Mid_eval_blog_gsoc2026/module_A_mideval_blog.md:
- Line 493: Update the “Next” sentence to describe `chunk_id` generation as
index-based, removing the conflicting “content-addressed” terminology while
preserving the other listed work.
- Line 266: Update the `Document` example so its field annotations are valid
Python: define `SourceInfo` and `LocatorInfo` separately, or remove their nested
fields and show only `source` and `locator` in `Document`.
- Around line 165-178: Update is_noise to check deny_filenames against the
basename of file_path and return True for matches, so declared exclusions such
as .gitignore are rejected; preserve the existing extension and path checks.
- Line 491: Update the “Looking ahead” link so it points to the relative
final-evaluation article, ../Final_eval_blog_gsoc2026/module_A_final_blog.md,
instead of the invalid #blog2 fragment.
- Line 107: Qualify the nightly-run idempotency claim: clarify that retries may
skip unchanged files if chunking or writing to harvest_input fails after
checkpoint persistence, rather than implying every retry resumes from the last
successfully persisted output.
- Around line 132-133: Update the change-detection description to match
ChangeDetector: compare the stored checkpoint with HEAD, use the empty tree on
the first run, and identify changed files with git diff --name-only. Remove the
git log commands or clearly label them as historical examples.
- Line 409: Update the Week 8 handoff description to match the implementation:
`_harvest_repository` chunks documents before calling `write_harvest_input`. If
the sentence is documenting the historical plan instead, label it as historical.
- Around line 217-228: Clarify beside `should_process_file` that it only checks
the registry and does not persist changes. State that after successful
processing, the caller stores the artifact record and content hash in
`artifact_registry`, matching the update performed by
`DocumentDeduplicator.process` through `ArtifactRegistry.upsert`.

Advance the checkpoint only after a successful handoff.
IncrementalPipeline.process() persists last_processed_commit before write_harvest_input() commits the harvested records. If the handoff fails, the next run can load the advanced checkpoint and skip source changes that were not persisted. Move checkpoint persistence after a successful handoff, or persist retryable handoff work.

documentation section with pattern-filter or gitignore-style pattern
terminology, including the checkpoint-to-HEAD comparison description. Keep the
descriptions aligned with FileFilter’s gitignore-style matching and the
examples’ suffix and fnmatch checks.

resolved the coderabbit stuff for now, completely had this sitting, thought i raised it already, only to realise i didnt a few days back, anyways, i guess this is technically the last of the official gsoc PRs, i do have some stuff planned for the repo(just an idea for now), but now that i am officially raising the final PR, it only makes sense for me give a formal thank you to everyone in the team, ofc i will make a linkedin post about it as well once this gets merged, but still, it was truely an honour to get skill checked by you guys, I will remember this for the rest of my life, maybe one day i get to cook a meal for the entire team thanks a lot!! lots of love!! ♥(ˆ⌣ˆԅ) o7 |
