No EDID: real panels boot at wrong / non-native resolution #423

Description

@eKisNonos

The bootloader never reads EDID, so real panels come up at the wrong resolution. display/gop/init.rs:53-90 picks the largest linear GOP mode capped at 1920x1080 (a hard continue at line 74), with no EDID query anywhere (grep for edid finds nothing). On a 4K / 1440p / ultrawide laptop the native mode is above 1080p and gets skipped, so you fall to a non-native scaled mode, or if firmware only exposes native plus a couple legacy modes, to something like 1024x768.

Format and stride handling are actually correct (RGB vs BGR per pixel format, and a bytes-vs-pixels stride heuristic for the OVMF quirk), so this is purely mode selection.

Widening: query EDID_ACTIVE/EDID_DISCOVERED in the bootloader, parse the preferred detailed timing, match it against the GOP mode list and pick native, and drop or EDID-drive the 1080p cap.

Honest ceiling to document: after ExitBootServices there is no real Intel/AMD/NVIDIA modeset or scanout driver (inventory classifies them EnumerateOnly), so real HW is a single linear GOP framebuffer with a software compositor, no post-boot mode switch, no multi-monitor, no DPMS/backlight, no hotplug. virtio-gpu is a real 2D driver but VM-only.
