Designer who builds things. Copenhagen.
Fifteen years in digital design and development, and I still do both rather than pick one. Some weeks that means typography and interface, other weeks a Metal shader, a Swift package or a build pipeline. What I like is the whole arc. The idea, the craft, and the unglamorous last mile that turns it into something a stranger can actually use.
This account is one slice of that, the part that happens to be code. The rest is client projects, writing about how the work actually goes on Medium and Indie Hackers, and making music, which is where several of my own apps came from.
IAMJARL is the name I ship my own work under. Small native Apple apps and web tools, held together by a design system that spans the web, SwiftUI and React Native, so one person's output looks like one person's output. iamjarl.com has all of it. Some of the repositories here are open source.
Mostly Swift and SwiftUI, TypeScript, Three.js and Metal.
