Summary

  • Preserve the selected Subscriptions upload-date or detection-date ordering through Reload view and Show, including asynchronously loaded canonical pages.
  • Stabilize popup initialization and live updates so long-open YouTube tabs do not cause pulsing or repeated content rebuilds.
  • Use consistent extension icon and v5.2.0 branding in the popup and feed, and avoid duplicated view titles when the sidebar is expanded.
  • Target thumbnail and overlay refreshes to relevant video IDs, coalesce startup work, avoid unchanged focus rescans, and route informational traces through debug mode.
  • Treat removed or incomplete AI-label responses as indeterminate and add bounded curated/channel-feed live canary fallbacks.
  • Expand Chrome and Firefox regression coverage, refresh tracked YouTube fixtures, update both 5.2.0 changelogs and supporting documentation, and regenerate guide and marketplace screenshots.

Verification

  • Full Jest suite: 322 passed, 9 skipped.
  • Chrome packaged runtime: 10 passed.
  • Chrome static extension suite: 31 passed, 1 live permission canary skipped.
  • Chrome AI-label static suite: 5 passed.
  • Firefox overlay, feed, AI-label, and smoke suites passed.
  • Live AI-label canaries passed in Chrome and Firefox in normal and forced channel-fallback modes.
  • ESLint and Firefox extension lint passed with zero warnings or errors.
  • Release artifact checks: 3 passed.
  • Documentation safety and git diff checks passed.
  • Documentation and Chrome/Firefox marketplace screenshots regenerated and visually reviewed.

Release

Version remains 5.2.0 and is still marked Unreleased. No reviewers requested.

Preserve the selected Subscriptions ordering across reload and Show flows, including asynchronously loaded canonical pages, without pinning newly discovered videos ahead of the user's sort.

Stabilize popup initialization and live updates, add consistent extension icon and version branding, refine collapsed-sidebar view headers, and reduce redundant thumbnail, overlay, focus, storage, and debug work.

Harden AI-label response handling and live canaries, expand Chrome and Firefox regression coverage, refresh tracked YouTube fixtures, update the 5.2.0 release documentation, and regenerate guide and marketplace screenshots.
Avoid aborting an in-flight AI disclosure lookup when focus/settings refresh and general content initialization converge on the same mode. This prevents an aborted cold-start request from being cached as unknown and removes duplicate startup work.

Extend the startup regression contract and verify the exact deterministic offline CI gate in Chrome and Firefox.
Invoke feed status controls through their normal DOM click handler in the packaged Firefox semantic test. This avoids Selenium placing the control beneath the sticky masthead after the scenario deliberately scrolls to a newly discovered video, while retaining every feed-state and scroll assertion.

Verified with two Firefox packaged feed runs and the matching Chromium static feed suite.
Wait for feed startup to finish before the Chrome runtime inventory test seeds IndexedDB, preventing the page's slower CI initialization from overwriting the fixture state.

Run the full gate for pull requests and manual dispatches only, and cancel superseded runs for the same PR or ref. This removes the duplicate post-merge develop run while preserving an explicit manual gate.

Verified with five repeated Chrome runtime suites (50/50), the exact Chrome-and-Firefox offline Actions command, and ESLint.
