Local development

Requirements: Node.js 22.13+ and pnpm.

• NEXT_PUBLIC_SITE_URL is the required public origin for production builds. Localhost is accepted only by the development server.
• NEXT_PUBLIC_BASE_PATH is empty because OccupationHQ is published at the root of its custom domain.
• NEXT_PUBLIC_GA_MEASUREMENT_ID enables site-wide GA4 page views and existing product-interaction events.
• NEXT_PUBLIC_ADSENSE_CLIENT_ID enables the single global AdSense verification/runtime script. No ad units are placed yet.
• Canonicals, sitemap URLs, robots.txt, Open Graph assets, application assets and internal links derive from these settings.

Those values keep links, assets and search metadata rooted at the permanent OccupationHQ domain.

Deployment

Pushes to main run lint, create a complete static export, test every sitemap URL, upload dist/client and deploy through the official GitHub Pages Actions workflow in .github/workflows/deploy-pages.yml.

The production root also publishes ads.txt with the authorized Google AdSense seller record. Search Console ownership is verified through DNS; no verification meta tag or HTML file is required.
