Bug]: Release workflow fails with Python 3.15 #462

Bug Report

The release workflow's conda job fails during environment setup. The Conda solver tries to install a pre-release Python 3.15 build that conda-forge can't fully satisfy.

Error

nothing provides _python_rc needed by python-3.15.0rc1...

Cause

The conda job uses conda-incubator/setup-miniconda with:

  • python-version: "3.15"
  • conda-remove-defaults: true
  • channels: conda-forge

With only conda-forge configured, the solver picks python-3.15.0rc1. That build needs the _python_rc package, which isn't available from the configured channels.

Proposed fix

Pin the conda job to a stable Python release that conda-forge provides, such as "3.12" or "3.11". This avoids pulling in pre-release builds.
