[BUG]: Tests hanging (during prek/pre-commit run for testing)

Describe the bug.

Looks like tests_usb is either hanging or trying to do something actually instead of mocked (didn't investigate), but commits can't be tested now

Expected behavior

Just 'prek run' or 'commit -m' without hanging tests
