For the issue #128 I created a domain object ApiRateLimitState which contains data on the state of both the rate limit but also the status of the Application as a whole (in regards to rate limiting).
I added this class to the domain to allow it to be exposed on the Prometheus endpoint and displayed on the Grafana dashboard.
