I noticed that you merged a fix for the python 3.12+ issue, but never pushed it to PyPI...
I'm relying on your package for my own ( https://pypi.org/project/owega ), could you bump the version available on PyPI to 1.0.5, please?
I'd appreciate it a lot! :D
(Currently, that makes me install setuptools>=60.0.0 as a workaround, but if I can get rid of it...)
(I might just end up rewrite something similar to what you've done internally, but I don't want to just copy your code, since that would go against the Apache license you're using, since I'm using a different license myself)
