+### Connect MetaMask to Celo
+
+MetaMask does not show Celo until the network is added. Add it with the button below; the chain ID and RPC URL are on the [network overview](/build-on-celo/network-overview). If an app asks you to install MetaMask when you already have it, the app could not detect the extension in that browser. Open the app in the browser profile where MetaMask is installed, or connect with another wallet from the lists above.

+### Find your Celo address
+
+Celo uses Ethereum-style addresses (`0x…`, 42 characters). Open your wallet and copy the address it shows for Celo. Check the network name before you send: a transfer on the wrong network can be lost.

To restore a wallet, import the recovery phrase into a wallet app. Without it, no one can recover the funds: not Celo, and not the wallet's maker.
